THE STORY THE CHARACTERS
Shot down in cold blood, left for dead - they should've assumed better.  Hitman Vance Derricks has been betrayed by the very crime syndicate he swore loyalty to for years, and he doesn't know why.  All he knows is that they screwed up, and now, against the passive advice of martial artist friend Jack Campbell, Vance is gonna make sure they're all gonna pay in blood.  Crime boss Ennis Jackson order the hit on Derricks, and when he finds out that his new number one gun - the short temper opportunist Simon Kreese - has failed, the hired guns come out of the woodwork.

Each hunting down Derricks for their own personal gain, whether or not they care why he's wanted dead.  Italian crime boss Toni Bartolucci sends the dangerous Benedetto Brothers after a lucrative drug deal went south with Ennis Jackson, hoping Derricks' dead body delivered by him will mend their partnership.  Simon Kreese can't allow Derricks to live for reasons that clearly make him paranoid, and burns his short fuse even shorter.  He also gains seductive motivation from the mysterious Valerie Silver.  Meanwhile, one of Jackson's lower grade hitmen - David Alec Swann - persues his own secretive, subversive motives in this game between Kreese & Derricks.  Being targeted from so many sides, and with so many cold blooded, dishonorable killers gunning for him, Vance Derricks will need more than just luck to survive.

THE NEWS THE CAST & CREW
[10.5.07]
• Scripting for the extended remake of Vengeance has been going on for a while, and what was originally a 25 page script is now 60+ page script!  Nine characters have been added, and stronger ties are added to Kill Or Be Killed with David Alec Swann having a very talkative, intriguing role in the film now.  Extra fights have been scripted, and the series of events leading to the climax have been changed.  Not to mention, most of the dialogue in the climax has been re-written for better character depth, dramatic tension, and story progression.  Ennis Jackson's character has been expanded in giving him more depth, and showing more sides of his personality than just a pissed off, ranting crime lord.  The Benedetto Brothers appear in two extra scenes, and Lucas Blackmore's role has been expanded upon with more dialogue and extra scenes.  At this point, Tom Stone has stated his desire to return as Craven Danvers, and I'm sure Glenn Allen can be brought back as Lucas Blackmore.  Beyond that, nothing can even be speculating upon.  If Jonathan Vukelich cannot be reacquired for this remake, it will be a disappointing blow to the film, but it will not prevent it from being made.  I do know for certain that I will not reprise the role of Snake Russell - I'm confident that there are actors out there who could do far more with the role than I ever tried to.  Oh, and one last thing that's been added - a bigger body count.  Vance Derricks gets to kill even more people in this version of Vengeance.
