| For three years, FBI Profiler Cyrus
Vendelin has been on the trail of a serial killer obsessed with identity,
and the destruction thereof. Leonard Marhsall Eccleston abducts his
selected victims, and proceeds to free them of their fabricated lives and
identities to be reborn into new ones through him. As a profiler,
Vendelin must project himself into the mind of a psychopath. In order
to catch a killer, he must think like him, see like him, feel like him.
Though, where Vendelin ends and Eccleston begins is a dark, shadowy place
that none dare perceive. Over the course of this night, one will
see exactly what he has become, and what his true identity is. And
will Vendelin be able to bring an end to Eccleston's madness before he
claims another victim? |

• It has been decided that this will be the next film
project for RavensFilm Productions, and casting calls are out at numerous
websites. You can also view it via our MySpace Blog link above.
The film is projected to be shot in July with no more than five shoot dates,
mostly at night (as the title would suggest). More details as they
develop.

• Black & white film noir with inspiration from Manhunter.
Rather straight forward right there. The first draft of the script
is complete at a tight 12 pages, and that sits well with me. This
is meant to be classic film noir - shadows, fog, silhouttes, street lights,
and dark alleys. I originally wanted to do a black & white horror
film with all the old Nosferatu style conventions, but this interested
me more on a pure character level. It also contains a twist ending
of sorts. In any case, sometime in the next two months (hopefully
sooner than later), I will be receiving a Sony HDR FX7 high-definition
camcorder, and when I do, I will begin serious pre-production work on Dead
of Night. There are only four roles to cast, and I have solid-to-potentially
good connections to most of the interior locations I require for this. |
